Housekeeping - Helping clean the homes. Laundry is done at our office and if you want extra hours you are welcome to help. We have 16 vacation homes from 2 bedroom to 5 bedrooms. We do not do daily housekeeping cleaning of the homes. Guests stay 2-7 days. There are days when we have a lot of checkouts, so those days are longer than most days. Homes need to be ready by 4 pm for the next guests stay. This has never been a problem as we all work together to get the homes ready. We all work together and we help each other when needed. You do not just have one job. You will help where needed. Schedules are made weekly. We try to give at least 2 days off a week, but they may not be in a row. Some weeks you may work every day but not more than 5 hours. 30-40 hours a week Pay is $16.00/hour. If you are a couple we also are looking for someone to do lawn work and small maintance. Butterfield RV Resort is the only private RV Park in the U.S. That has a 16-inch university grade Meade telescope & top-quality observatory. Currently we are looking for an astronomer to stay for the summer and possibly the winter, and run the observatory shows.

The astronomer would work at night and the show(s) last for about an hour and half. In the winter season, if we have a full house for the first show (16 seats), we do a second show, if there is participation. So, between the thirty or so minutes you need to show up early to open, the possibility of 2 shows and the 15 minutes to close after, you could work 3 hours per night, 4 nights on and 4 nights off. In the beginning you will invest some time creating your opening and closing "spiel" and learning a few facts about the objects you are viewing. Most nights there will only be one show, so about 2 hours work.

I know what you're thinking. "But I'm not an astronomer!" It's being able to relay information in an interesting and fun way. Excellent communication skills are necessary. We have a complete library of objects you can use. The biggest challenge would be learning to use the telescope and learning about the objects you will be showing, which isn't hard. Ranch Caretaker The Lazy Rooster Ranch is an upscale campground on 50 forested acres along the Dolores River just outside of Rico, Colorado. We are searching for a caretaker and maintenance professional to live onsite year-round to fulfill various responsibilities related to the upkeep and operation of the grounds. In your role you'll partner with our camp host to ensure that that ranch is operating smoothly and safely for our guests. This position is paid hourly. We expect work to be full-time (40 hours/week) in our operating season of May-October and part-time (10-20 hours/week) in the off-season of November-April. Housing and utilities will be provided year-round.
